Managing Director Greece

Our client is a highly successful international company with several production sites and globally active sales subsidiaries. The success of its products on the global market is based on decades of development work. To report directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, we are currently seeking an ambitious Managing Director with a strong sales track record for our sales office in Athens.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
+ Responsibility for turnover and results of the Greek sales subsidiary
+ Managing and improving all operational areas of the business, with a focus on sales, marketing and finance
+ Operational and strategic expansion of the existing customer network
+ Key account management of existing DIY customers; plus acquiring new key accounts
+ Expanding and developing the retail stores and the online shop
+ Developing the customer business in the specialist trade and in electrical wholesale
+ Developing new distribution channels in the project business (wholesalers, architects, construction companies, hotel trade)
+ Planning and developing sales concepts and defining short- and medium-term sales targets
+ Developing strategies to achieve sales and budget targets in cooperation with the head office in Austria
+ Optimising processes and organisational structures in the Greek sales subsidiary
+ Responsibility for and supervision of all commercial and technical contract negotiations of the company
+ Regularly reporting to the Austrian head office
+ Business travel

Your background:
+ Commercial and/or technical training
+ Sales experience in a managerial position in the B2B sector (preferably DIY, electrical wholesale, lighting retail, etc.)
+ Advantageous: Contacts in the DIY and electrical wholesale sectors,as well as knowledge of the competitive environment
+ Excellent commercial skills
+ Good command of English or German
