System Architect (m/f/d) 100%
What you will do
As a System Architect in Tecan's product development team, you can apply and expand your skills to build up cutting edge technology platforms from tomorrow and for a better world.
You will create new product designs and expand the functionality of our existing detection and bioanalytical systems for the life science and diagnostic business.
Responsibilities will include
Technical lead for advanced life science systems on pipeline and sustaining projects, who understands complex electro-mechanical/optical systems and theory of operation details and spends hands-on time in the lab to support high-impact project issues
Technical lead - comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in the technical field as it pertains to the scope of responsibility
Impeccable technical skills with strong background in systems engineering including conception, design, development and application
Understanding of opto/- electronic architectures and their implication to different requirements to the electronic hardware, optical system and mechanical design
Lead troubleshooting investigations to resolve complex issues.
Hands-on design of complex system architectures
Define key capabilities and performance requirements by applying advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts
Prototype characterization which includes the bread board construction, assembly procurement and bring-up.
Develop models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development
Use disciplined work methodologies utilizing scientific and statistical methods in resolving problems, devising tests and setting specifications
Develop strong relationships with business and platform development team members by being proactive, displaying a thorough understanding of the product development process and by recommending innovative solutions
What you bring along
7+ years of experience of complex electromechanical systems
MS in Physics or Engineering Discipline
Technical Leadership experience to drive key deliverables and timelines
Hands-on experience with embedded software development including sensor fusion algorithms and optional machine learning (ML) techniques
Knowledge of electronic design, physical dimension of optical shape detection with light
Experience in electrophysical signal processing
Strong experience providing technical direction and guiding the logical design and development on large scale projects across multiple departments
Executive presence, to present concepts directly to the company’s leadership team to influence strategic direction
Fluent German and English are required
